With over 35 years of experience, Robert Knight has specialized in finding solutions to the financial, tax and accounting challenges of individuals and small businesses.

A 1984 graduate of SDSU with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance, Robert worked to gain certification and tax experience before joining with John W. Pfuhl in 1990 to form Pfuhl & Knight Accountancy Corporation. After John passed away in 2019, Robert decided to relocate offices near his Poway home.

The move to the new offices provided the opportunity to upgrade systems and processes to state-of-art data collection and reporting, while embracing “less paper” with digital workflow and document management.

Robert continues to work with local universities to provide financial and accounting students with valuable hands-on experience as tax assistants during peak workloads – offering them flexible hours, real-world experience to a broad range of tax and accounting issues, and valuable resume building skills and experience. The biggest benefit of the student-employer relationship is getting great staff with current computer and software skills, fresh thinking, and youthful enthusiasm!
